Introducing
Caregiver Monday!
The day dedicated to the care of caregivers.
Caregiver Monday is an initiative that finds and assembles the latest tips, news and key resources to help caregivers take good care of themselves, manage stress and find support.
Why Monday? Because research shows that on the first day of the week people set weekly health intentions and are looking for help.
Please contact us to learn how Caregiver Monday can work for your organization.
“Me Time Monday”
Sherri Snelling, CEO and founder of the Caregiving Club, is a nationally recognized expert on how to help caregivers balance “self-care” while caring for a loved one. She is the former Chairman of the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC), the leading caregiving advocacy non-profit organization, based in Washington, D.C.
Every Monday, the Caregiving Club offers a Me Time Monday video and accompanying tip sheet, which help caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a loved one.
See our interview with Sherri Snelling to learn more about her new book, A Cast of Caregivers, and discover tips for balancing caregiving with self-care.

Alzheimer’s Association, Central California
The California Central chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association now offers free Caregiver Monday self-care tips, tools and resources each week. There are over 38,000 people caring for someone with Alzheimer’s in the counties of Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, California. This initiative will not only help caregivers who are in urgent need of stress reduction and wellness support, but also serve as an example for other community programs throughout the country.

The Well Spouse Association
This organization provides emotional support and comfort to spousal caregivers of the chronically ill and/or disabled through support groups, mentor programs, on-line chat forum, respite weekends, national conference, e-newsletters and a quarterly publication. To join, or for more information and useful links, visit www.wellspouse.org.

Caring.com
Caring.com is one of the leading destinations for those seeking information and support as they care for their loved ones. Their mission is to help family caregivers make better decisions, save time and money, feel less alone and less stressed. Caring.com provides original articles, helpful tools, and a comprehensive local directory of caregiving services.
One of their Caregiver Wellness Resources is the Self Caring blog by Senior Editor Paula Spencer Scott. Her mission is to help her 48 million fellow caregivers remember that the word “caring” has an “I” in it — because it’s too easy to focus on everything but yourself. Paula’s mission aligns with our goal at Caregivers’ Monday, which Paula wrote about in her blog

The CareGiver Partnership
This organization has joined forces with Caregiver Monday to offer discounts on home health care products and to remind caregivers to also take measures for their own health.

Lotsa Helping Hands
Lotsa Helping Hands is free, private, web-based program for organizing friends, family and colleagues – your ‘circles of community’ – during times of need. You can easily coordinate activities and manage volunteers with our group calendar. Check out their video to learn more.
