Experts from The Monday Campaigns’ Quit & Stay Quit Monday and NYU Langone Health Lead a Panel on Smoking Cessation for the Great American Smokeout

December 10th, 2018

On November 15th, experts from Quit & Stay Quit Monday and NYU Langone Health spoke to an audience of individuals and professionals in attendance at this informative event.

Topics Addressed included:

• Techniques for quitting

• How to get back on track after a relapse

• The Impact of quitting on your health

• Resources available to help with quitting

On this day, smokers all across the nation were taking part in the Great American Smokeout. Introduced by the American Cancer Society, the Great American Smokeout serves to encourage all smokers to make the date “Day 1” of their journey to quit for life.

To support this call-to-action, Quit & Stay Quit Monday introduced a Monday Quit Kit to help quitters stay on track over the long haul.  Developed in collaboration with the Institute for Global Tobacco Control at Johns Hopkins University, the kit was designed for use by both individuals and tobacco cessation professionals, and serves to help quitters use every Monday to recommit to their quit, celebrate progress, and quit again if they relapse.
