Caregiver Monday

Find healthy practices, research, and creative materials to help caregivers start each week with a routine of self-care.

To be responsible for the care of a family member or loved one comes with a unique set of challenges that can be difficult to cope with alone. Caregiver Monday, a program of The Monday Campaigns, addresses the specific needs of the caregiving community by offering weekly practices, research, and collaborative activities that can help reduce stress and foster personal wellness, whether it be emotional, physical, or spiritual.

Caregiver Monday uses the concept of a weekly Monday cue to encourage caregivers to commit to their own well-being every Monday by developing consistent healthy habits that can evolve into long-lasting beneficial outcomes.1, 2, 3

The program is offered through the Caregiving Club, a leading organization founded by caregiving expert and corporate gerontologist, Sherri Snelling. The Caregiving Club calls attention to common issues faced by caregivers, and offers practical health, wellness, and resource-based information to help them handle those challenges. Every month, the program distributes a themed article that focuses on a particular aspect of caregiver self-care, as well as a weekly health practice related to the current month’s theme.

The Caregiver Monday Tool Kit includes free resources such as infographics and blogs, which can be easily integrated into an organization’s existing health and wellness programs. For more information, resources, and materials, you are encouraged to find materials hosted through the Caregiving Club.
