WORKSITE WELLNESS

Chronic preventable diseases caused by unhealthy lifestyles are increasing company healthcare costs and lowering productivity. Monday is a natural day to promote healthy activities at work — people are returning from the weekend and reconnecting with colleagues to plan the week. There are also many common touch points — cafeterias, fitness centers and corporate intranet — where healthy behavior can be promoted. And Healthy Monday can help boost participation in existing wellness programs.

Here are some organizations we’ve partnered with on worksite wellness.

Syracuse-area hospitals

SUNY Upstate University Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, and Crouse Hospital promote Meatless Monday in their employee cafeterias, highlighting meatless options each Monday to encourage employees start their week off with healthy eating.

The hospitals also have designated Monday Mile walking routes to encourage employees to get moving on Monday. The Monday Mile routes serve as a regular meeting places for walks and help the hospital wellness programs easily track employee fitness.
